Point Invitational 2000
Early on April 7, Scouts and Scouters from Troop 457 headed to West Point. We arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon. The scouts donned their backpacks and hiked over Bull Hill to set up camp at the campground. Saturday was hot and windy. The scouts started their morning with PT, then went to the Opening Ceremony. During the day, the scouts participated in the patrol events and worked on their marching. After dinner, the Scoutmasters were told that a MAJOR SNOWSTORM was coming. We left that evening and stopped in Binghamton at the Super 8 to spend the night. We arrived back home around 1 pm on Sunday.
